Lelisa Desisa Wins New York City Marathon

Ethiopia’s Lelisa Desisa won New York City Marathon defeating defending champion Geoffrey Kamworor. Lelisa finished his race in 2 hours 5 minutes and 59 seconds. While Shura Kitata of Ethiopia finished second with 2 hours 6 minutes and one second.  The men run was dominated by Ethiopia while 5 USA runners made it to the top 10 rank.

In the women run Kenya maintain its lead with the winning of Mary Keitany finishing 2 hours 22 minutes and 48 seconds while Vivian Cheruiyot finished second.
