Athlete Haile Gebreselassie Resigned From Athletics Federation

Athlete Haile Gebreselassie who has been serving as Ethiopia’s Athletic Federation since Nov 2016 resigned from his post today.
In his tweet Communication and Sports Consultant Elshadai Negash relates Haile resignation related to athletes protest in Sululta.

Resignation comes after protests by athletes in #Sululta complaining of lack of facilities and services by the federation. @HaileGebr says differences are not longer reconcilable. #haileresigns

In a press conference held at his office, Ethiopian Athletics Federation president @HaileGebr told journalists that he has resigned after some athletes staged a protest yesterday.
