Prominent activist & journalist Eskinder Nega once again was interrupted by police from giving a press conference for the second time in a week at Hilton Addis Ababa. While addressing a group of journalists outside the hotel, Eskinder told the crowd that his latest press conference was related to his plan to launch a TV channel.

The interruption from police came right before the event and this makes it the third time when police banned Eskinder from hosting a press conference.

Police has not given any reason why they banned the press release. But since his release Eskinder Nega has become one of the most critical profiles on the Abiy administration in which the PM openly threatened to wage war on him after Eskinder announced himself as the ‘bale-adera’ mayor of Addis Ababa.
