Prime Minister Visiting Tigray For The Second Time

Prime Minister Abiy made a surprise visit to Aksum, Tigray this morning. He was welcomed by Tigray regional President Dr. Debretsion Gebremikael. During his visit to Aksum, PM visited the Aksum obelisks and he is expected to address Aksum University students and discuss matters related to the recent killing of a student at the university.

Since taking power, this is only PM Abiy’s second visits to Tigray. His popularity in the region is the lowest compared to the popular support he received during his first visit.
