Ethiopian government considered seriously the recent report of Forbes that Ethiopia will be one of the top post-Covid-19 tourist destinations. And it has started disinfecting destinations during the time the country is in a heavy fight against the pandemic.

Forbs.com listed Ethiopia among the countries which have the potential to become major tourist destinations in the post-Covid-19 world. ‘Rich history, spectacular natural sites, the national cuisine surely will propel this nation to stardom, ‘ reads the report.

According to prime minister Abiy, Ethiopia makes it to the list as a result of the works the government has made in the past two years around Addis Ababa. According to prime minister Abiy, Covid-19 will cause a three percent decrease from the government’s planned economic growth this year. Boosting the income from tourism becomes among the measures the government is taking to rebound from the economic crisis in the post-Covid-19.
