Ethiopia-born German national footballer, Melkamu Frauendorf joins English Premier League club, Liverpool, from the German side Hoffenheim.

The 16-year-old signed a scholarship contract with the champions that let him join the club’s academy and the under 18 team.

Liverpool announced the signing of the attacking midfielder on its official website and the player had changed his Instagram bio to Liverpool recently.

The attacking midfielder who was born in Kembata, Ethiopia, has been trained in Hoffenheim academy before he caught the eyes of Liverpool scouts. According to the announcement of the club, Melkamu impressed them with his “eye of goal.”

His transfer is part of the club’s plan of boosting the number of youngsters, as they have shone in the main team to win the premier league after 30 years.
