Journalist Meaza Mohammed Released from Custody

Following the recent disruption regarding media content, various journalists have been detained without any explanation.

Journalist Meaza Mohammed was taken from her house in Addis Ababa Nifas Silk Sub-city, without any allegation. She is the co-founder of the online media outlet, Roha media and previously worked at Abay Media.

On December 19, her lawyer said the police officers failed to bring her to court.

Following the release of various political prisoners, Journalist Maeza Mohammed has been released today.

She was released this evening after 39 days in custody, her lawyer Addisu Getaneh mentioned on the official Facebook page.
