Addis Ababa City Administration provides information on the color of building

Addis Ababa: May 26, 2014 (FBC) The Addis Ababa City Administration has given an explanation on the color of buildings.

The administration said one of the tasks to make Addis Ababa as beautiful as its name and to have a world-class appearance is to implement a system that determines the color and height of buildings.

According to the administration, the unrecognized colors of the city’s buildings have distorted the city’s appearance, and the random design of the buildings has severely damaged the city’s image.

Therefore, to address this problem, the Addis Ababa City Administration, drawing on the experience of many international and African cities, has studied and considered the appropriate building colors for the city.

Thus, with the participation of a number of experts in the field, he went on to identify 13 colors that are suitable for the city.

Accordingly, as in other countries, building owners have the right to pick and choose one of the colors chosen for the city ሲሆን This practice has been piloted in some sub-cities and has been implemented.
