EBC signs deal with Sew Mehon Productions to adapt Fikir “Esk Mekaber” book into TV series

The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) has signed an official contract today with ‘Sew Mehon” to turn the novel “Fikir Esk Mekaber” into a TV drama series.

The contract was signed by EBC CEO Fisha Yitagesu and renowned film director Somic at the new EBC Media Complex in Shegole.

The signed contract is a 41,427,600 Birr deal with Sew Mehon Productions to turn the book “Fikir Esk Meqaber” into a TV series. The drama will be produced in four seasons, 48 episodes. It has been agreed to pay 863,075 birr(eight hundred and sixty three thousand and seventy five) Birr for each drama episode with an average length of 45 minutes including VAT.

‘Being Human Film Production’ has reached an agreement with the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation to hand over the first phase of the drama, i.e., the completed works (Episodes 1-12) within five months, and complete (48 episodes) in the next nine months.

As stated in the signing ceremony, EBC has agreed to turn the novel Love to the Grave into a television drama series in four seasons, 48 episodes. 

At the signing ceremony, as the book has a historical content, it was agreed to make the story of the original book in a non-distracting and non-exaggerating manner while making it into a TV series.

‘Sew Mehon” has reached an agreement with the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation to hand over the first phase of the drama, i.e., the finished works (Episodes 1-12) within five months, and complete (48 episodes) in the next nine months.
