Addis Legese to Release Debut Album Mastawesha with 14 Songs

Addis Legese’s long-awaited debut music album, Mastawesha (“Memoir”), will be officially presented to audiences on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Addis, widely admired for his hit singles Enjori, Enje, Ewedsheleh, and most recently Etu, has already captured the hearts of fans with his soulful voice and vibrant stage performances. His singles have collectively gained more than 25 million views on YouTube, setting the stage for a highly anticipated full album.

Mastawesha features 14 tracks, showcasing Addis’s versatility across a wide range of musical styles and genres. The album blends fresh lyrical ideas with dynamic compositions and expressive vocals, offering listeners a new taste of Ethiopian music.

Prominent contributors include Yilma Gebreab, Moges Teka, Abnet Agonafer, Bin Amir Ahmed, Sefaye, and Addis himself, who all played a role in the songwriting and lyrics. On the music side, Michael Hailu, Kirubel Tesfaye, Afework, Ye Betzema, and Ermias Mola collaborated on the compositions, with mastering handled by Kirubel Tesfaye.

The project, which took three years to complete, represents Addis Legese’s dedication to creating a timeless body of work.

Fans will be able to access the album starting Saturday, August 23, 2025, on Addis Legese’s official YouTube channel and across all major international music platforms.
