Addis Ababa — September 15, 2025 (Meskerem 5, 2018 E.C.)
The Educational Assessment and Examination Service (EAES) has opened official channels for candidates to access their 2017 E.C. Grade 12 national exam results. Students can check scores and immediately download temporary certificates via web, Telegram, and SMS, the Service announced.

The official result channels

EAES says all three options are live starting today at noon (Meskerem 5, 2018 E.C. / Sept 15, 2025). Temporary certificates downloaded from the website or Telegram are valid for immediate use where provisional proof is accepted.

Step-by-step: Checking your result

Option 1 — Website (recommended)

  1. Go to result.eaes.et.
  2. Enter the required exam information (such as registration number, region, and/or school as prompted).
  3. Submit to view your result.
  4. Click “Download Temporary Certificate” to save a PDF for printing or sharing.

Tips:

  • Use a stable connection; if the page times out, refresh after a minute.
  • If possible, check during off-peak hours to avoid traffic spikes.

Option 2 — Telegram (@EAESbot)

  1. Open Telegram and search EAESbot or tap the link above.
  2. Start the chat and follow the prompts (you’ll be asked for your registration number and other details).
  3. Receive your result and download your temporary certificate directly in the chat.

Tip: Make sure you’re using the verified EAES bot (check the exact handle).

Option 3 — SMS (6284)

  1. Open your phone’s messaging app.
  2. Send a message to 6284 following the format the service requests (usually the registration number and/or other identifiers).
  3. You’ll receive a reply with your result.

Note: Your mobile operator may charge a small premium SMS fee. Ensure you have sufficient balance.

What your temporary certificate is—and isn’t

  • What it is: An official provisional document issued digitally by EAES confirming your result—often accepted for initial registrations or applications while the final certificate is processed.
  • What it isn’t: A replacement for the final, printed certificate (which is typically distributed later through schools or regional education bureaus).

If you can’t access your result

  • Website busy or down: Try again after a few minutes or use Telegram/SMS as backups.
  • Details don’t match: Double-check your registration number and personal details exactly as used during the exam.
  • Still stuck: Contact your school or the regional education bureau for assistance verifying your registration information and next steps.

Data protection & fraud warnings

  • Only use the official channels above.
  • Do not share your registration details or personal information with unofficial pages or individuals.
  • Beware of social media pages promising “faster access” or “result changes”—these are scams.

Key dates at a glance

  • Announcement date: Meskerem 5, 2018 E.C. — September 15, 2025 G.C.
  • Availability: Results and provisional certificates available from noon (local time) today via website, Telegram, and SMS.

What’s next for candidates?

  • University placement: Keep your provisional certificate ready. Placement updates typically follow the results release; monitor MoE/EAES official channels.
  • Appeals/clarifications: If EAES later publishes an appeals window or correction process, follow the instructions carefully and keep all your documentation.

In summary

EAES has made the 2017 E.C. Grade 12 results accessible through three official, parallel channels—web, Telegram, and SMS—along with instant provisional certificates for candidates who need proof of results right away. Stick to the official addresses, safeguard your data, and keep an eye on subsequent placement and certificate distribution notices.
