Addis Ababa City Administration Mayor Adanech Abiebie yesterday evening inaugurated the Sar Bet Plaza, which was beautifully built by MIDROC Investment Group on 1.3 hectares of land, and officially opened it for public use.

It has been stated that this new development project demonstrates how the development works being carried out in the city are designed to uphold human dignity and benefit the public, ease the cost-of-living burden, and strengthen social ties among residents.

The mayor said that, in line with the government’s development strategy, the private sector is working alongside the government with strong commitment and initiative.

She particularly praised MIDROC Investment Group for reducing its own privately held land by 1.3 hectares, developing it, and making it available for public service, calling it “a new vision and a major change.”

Mayor Adanech also recalled that MIDROC Investment Group has previously been actively involved in riverside development projects. On her own behalf and on behalf of the city’s residents, she extended her heartfelt appreciation for the contribution made.

Beyond adding beauty to the city, the plaza is expected to become a wonderful place where residents can relax and strengthen their social relationships.
