US Secretary of State Blinken to Visit Ethiopia: Discussing Ceasefire Agreement and Humanitarian Aid

The spokesman said that Blinken will talk to senior government officials when he comes to Addis Ababa. During his visit to Ethiopia, in addition to government officials, Blinken will talk with humanitarian organizations and civic institutions in the areas of humanitarian aid distribution, food security and human rights.

America’s relationship with Ethiopia has been strained because of the war in northern Ethiopia. The US Secretary of State will visit Niger in addition to Ethiopia on his African trip next week. Their visit to the two African countries is from March 5 to March 8; 2015 will last.
