Hallmark Media has officially appointed Wondwossen “Wondu” Dikran as the Senior Vice President of Hallmark Studios, a newly established production division.
In this role, Dikran will be responsible for managing relationships with creatives and cross-functional business partners, while also identifying new domestic and international partnerships that drive continued innovation and production efficiency, according to a company statement released on Tuesday.
Dikran is a prominent figure in the film and television industry, with extensive experience as a director, producer, and writer. He is best known for writing and directing the award-winning feature film “Journey to Lasta” in 2004. Before joining Hallmark, Dikran served as the Head of Development and Production at Falkon Entertainment and previously held the position of Head of Production at NBCUniversal/DreamWorks TV.
In his new role, Dikran will report to Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming. He will work closely with Daly, the development team, and the soon-to-be-appointed Senior Vice President of Talent Strategy.
“With our focus on expanding and enhancing innovation and efficiency, I am excited to have Wondu leading this critical initiative at Hallmark Studios,” Daly said in a statement. “His extensive experience in the entertainment industry, coupled with his strategic vision and collaborative approach, will be instrumental in shaping the future of production for Hallmark across both linear and streaming platforms.”
