RCOG on its Twitter account announced the Dr. Senait Fisseha membership promotion to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).

Dr.Senait who is also the founder of Centre for Reproductive Health Training (CRHT) has been working hard on improving maternal mortality and reproductive injustices in sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia where maternal death and gender injustices are reportedly high.
Dr. Senait who is born in Ethiopia, After completing high school, she studied at Tikur Anbessa Medical School in Addis Ababa just for a quarter and moved to the United States, enrolled in Rosary college and earned a Bachelor of Science degree, she received Howard Hughes Medical Institute funding to pursue research at the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, Senait developed new interests in the field of medical malpractice, specifically in the areas of obstetrics and gynecologists.
She earned a JD/MD degree from Southern Illinois University in 1999 with honors, and she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2003, and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility in 2006, at the University of Michigan medical center.
Dr.Senait significantly advocated about reproductive rights and gender equality. She published around 100 articles in the fields of reproductive endocrinology, infertility, and medical ethics. RCOG awarded Dr.Senait a well-deserved membership recognizing her as “globally-recognized a leader in reproductive health & rights and a lifelong gender champion.”
RCOCG is London UK-based association works on improving women health care all over the world which now have 16,000 members and range of partners across the globe. According to their official website, the benefit of being an associate member is that “It provides the tools and resources needed to keep doctors obstetrics and gynecology knowledge and skills up-to-date, advance career development and deliver the highest standards of care to patients.”
