Please be on time as we will start performances at 2:30 sharp.
If you plan to perform, please look below for the guidelines.
Also, if you would like to record your poetry, we’ll be having a recording session before the show. Please come early if you’d like us to make a video of your beautiful poems.
. Register your name between 2-2:30 pm. Our time at only allows 20 performances.
. Only perform your original work. The audience is there to listen to your truth!
. Each performer gets 5 minutes in total. You can perform as many times but respect the time limit.
. All languages welcome.
. All performance art forms welcome!

As part of the World Press Freedom Day organized by the UNESCO and the African Union Headquarters– Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on May 1, 2 and 3, French organization Cartooning for Peace brings together 26 African and international press cartoonists to Addis Ababa!
On Saturday, May 4th, the press cartoonists will meet the public here at Alliance and present the exhibition “Cartooning in Africa”.
The exhibition “Cartooning in Africa” offers a whole view of press freedom in the world at the same time as it promotes African press cartoonists: true infantrymen of our democracies, press cartoonists constitute real barometers of our freedoms and rights!
