Ethiopian-American promoter Leah Bekele became the youngest black woman to become senior Vice President of Rhythm Promotion & Lifestyle, urban promotion team of Warner Bros, an American diversified multinational mass media and entertainment company.

Born in Addis Ababa, Leah has impressed Warner Bros with her successful six-year time in one of the premier music labels in the world, Epic Records.

She began her career at Epic Records of Sony Music in 2014 as a Regional promotion manager, and later she moved up to become a national director of promotion & lifestyle just before she decided to take the new job at warner last week.

As the Executive Vice President of Epic Records, Leah had a chance to work with top-rated artists like Future, Travis Scott, Diddy, DJ Khaled, French Montana, and Bobby Shmurda and more.

In 2017 her team made history by having three consecutive single songs that became number one on Urban Radio charts.

As a senior VP of Rhythm Promotion & Lifestyle, Leah will lead the major markets of the company that includes working with artists Saweetie, NLE Choppa, Wale, YFN Lucci, and more, as well as artists who are part of the Canadian record label group OVO Sound families, such as DVSN, PartyNextDoor, Roy Woods, and Popcaan.

On a statement after taking the new challenge, Leah said, “she is incredibly honored to be the youngest Black woman to be named Vice President of Rhythm Promotion & Lifestyle.” and She will “continue to break barriers for young women of color in the music industry by helping to develop new talent and aiding the next generation of female executives through mentorship and volunteering in her free time.”
