Once seen as merely a hobby and a way to express creativity, content creation video streaming platform YouTube has become a lucrative source of income for those who find success. In 2020, according to data presented by Safe Betting Sites, YouTube’s top earner earned a staggering $29.5M and even more unbelievably, the top spot belongs to 9-year old Ryan Kaji.
YouTube – Hub for Talented Content Creators
YouTube is one of the most well-known and most visited websites in the world. The company was founded in February 2005 and has since become ubiquitous in the online world. In October that same year, Youtube introduced the ability to subscribe to different channels which made it a viable platform for content creators to showcase their talents.

One of the biggest names to come out of Youtube’s talent pool is Canadian pop-singer, Justin Bieber. As of 2020, there are hundreds of thousands of channels hosted on Youtube with a plethora of creators and forms of content to choose from.
Youtube’s Top Earner Only 9 Years Old – Almost $30M in 2020
The success of Youtube as a platform for content creators is undeniable with the most successful Youtube content creators earning a comparable income to Hollywood Movie Stars. More impressively, Youtube’s success is not limited to the more mature age groups as some of the top channels on the website are specifically targeted at younger audiences. In fact, in 2020, Youtube’s top earner was 9-year-old Ryan Kaji who reportedly earned an impressive $29.5M in 2020 from his Youtube channel Ryan’s World.
8th on Youtube’s top earner list for 2020 Russia-born Anastasia Radzinskaya, aka Nastya, who is just 6 years old and is the owner of one of the most popular channels on the site, Like Nastya. As of January 2021, Like Nastya is the most popular independent channel on the site with 51.36B lifetime video views unseating Ryan’s World as the most popular channel of all time as of the summer of 2020. Radzinskaya’s channel reportedly earned $18.5M in 2020.
