Russia orders US embassy staff to leave Moscow until January 23. Relations between Russia and the United States have soured since President Joe Biden came to power in the run-up to the election.

Following the Biden administration, the US has bittered the relation it has with Ethiopia as well. In the misconception of the context of the war and refracting misinformation, the Ethiopian government condemned the US involvement in the internal conflict.

The tension escalated within a continuous counteract taken by the US warning its citizen to leave the country. The protest has been going on all over the world with a slogan ‘no more’ reflecting to refrain US involvement in internal affairs of Ethiopia.

Russia, on the other hand, stated “the US intervention is undemocratic, we will not compromise in Ethiopia, and to refrain from invading sovereign states. To stop its attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, not just in words but in deeds.”

After 2016, the two countries’ diplomatic relations deteriorated to the point where they reduced the number of diplomats.

At the time, 10 Russian diplomats officially had left the United States although it was said they resided back after negotiation, the Russian government reported more than 100 diplomats in the United States have left the country.
