The suspects were armed with also illegal weapons and fake police IDs in various parts of Addis Ababa. Police have arrested them and are investigating.

Police, on the other hand, found that the individuals were involved in further criminal activities, using fake IDs and photographs of former Ethiopian Federal Police uniforms to confuse the public.

According to police, the suspects were operating as members of the Federal Police Special Investigation Unit, which had been operating in various businesses, harassing the business community and stealing money and mobile phones.
