Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stressed the need to balance five issues in Ethiopia

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed attended the 13th regular session of the House of Peoples’ Representatives and responded to questions from members of the House.

In the discussion, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of balancing five issues.

He said democracy and peace, national affairs and nationality affairs, the rights of individuals and groups, history and challenges, as well as national interests and international relations should be balanced.

“Democracy and peace need to be balanced,” he said. The PM says it is important to maintain balance so that one does not oppress the other.

Regarding the balance of national and nationality issues, he said it would take an average to maintain the two.

Explaining the balance of individual and group rights, he stated that a group name should not be used after committing a crime.

He said our past history should be balanced. He stressed the need to balance national interests and international relations.
