Telebirr launch three financial services

Ethio Telecom launches three service offering from 10-100,000 birr loan credits to its customers. The service was launched in collaboration with Dashen Bank.

Ethio Telecom CEO Frehiwot Tamru said that customers who are offered the service are not required to present collateral. The system uses artificial intelligence to determine customer eligibility for loan.

Telebirr Mela

The loan service launched by ‘Telebirr Mela’  will enable individuals to take up to 10,000 birr. Also the service will provide up to 100,000 birr in loan for businesses.

Telebirr Endekise 

‘Telebirr Endekise’ is aimed at paying a remaining amount for customers in case the customers become short of money to purchase an item. The amount that owed by customers must be settled in one month.

Tele Sanduq

Another service introduced by EthioTelecom is ‘Tele Sanduq’ is an interest-free and interest  financial service. After saving  26 birr the system will start to add  interest on customers’ savings through this service.
