Ethiopia finished third with 12 medals at the 20-year-old youth athletics championships held in Colombia yesterday.

The athletics team won 12 medals in total with 6 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze.

The Ethiopian Athletics Federation (EAF) has noted that 19 athletes of both genders will compete in 10 events in the championship.

The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has expressed its delight with the results of the tournament.

Kenya added 3 golds and finished fourth in the world behind Ethiopia with 10 medals.

The United States finished first with 7 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze for a total of 15 medals, while Jamaica finished second with 6 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze for a total of 16 medals.
