Selemon Barega Defends His 10,000m Title

Selemon Barega, the 10,000m gold medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, is set to defend his title in Paris. Barega’s Tokyo triumph saw him outpace Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo, and he will be joined in Paris by compatriots Berihu Aregawi and Yomif Kejelcha, with Kejelcha also competing in the 5000m.

Gudaf Tsegay’s Triple Challenge

Gudaf Tsegay, a versatile and formidable athlete, has been entered in the 1500m, 5000m, and 10,000m events. Tsegay, who claimed Olympic bronze in the 5000m and has world titles in the 5000m (2022) and 10,000m (2023), will be supported in the 1500m by world silver medalist Diribe Welteji.
