Addis Ababa — Aman Fissehazion, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EBS Television, has passed away.

The prominent media entrepreneur had been receiving medical treatment after battling an illness. He died today, Yekatit 4, 2018 E.C. (February 12, 2026), according to an official statement released by the station.

Aman Fissehazion was widely recognized as a visionary leader whose contributions played an irreplaceable role in the growth of Ethiopian media. Under his leadership, EBS Television emerged as one of the most influential private media outlets serving Ethiopian audiences both at home and in the diaspora.
