President Sahle-Work Among 100 Forbes Influential Women

Forbes Magazine listed Ethiopia’s President Sahle-Work Zewede among the 100 influential women in the world.

President Sahle-Work was selected following her appointment as the first head of state for Ethiopia. Prior to that her immense experience as a seasoned diplomat ranking to several key positions in the US were also contributor factors.

The President is the only African to make it to the Forbes 100 list. In less than one year Ethiopia has experienced a major shift in terms of women appointment to key gov positions. The country has already selected the first women supreme court president, electoral board chair.
