Amhara Regional President Degu Andargachew Resigns

Amhara regional president Degu Andargachew submitted his resignation according to the Amhara Mass Media Agency the resignation was accepted by the Amhara Democracy Party.

Doctor Ambachew Mekonen will be replacing Degu Andargachew. Degu Andargachew has been serving as the regional president for the past five years. During his tenure, the border issue of Wolqait with Tigray and leading the arrest of Bereket Simone can be described as a highlight.
