Addis Ababa City Administration to Demolish Illegally Constructed Houses

Addis Ababa City Administration gave two weeks ultimatum for house owners who constructed houses illegally. According to the deputy mayor office statement, the city administration will use all the necessary forces to demolish the houses after the two weeks deadline.

The city administration listed four sub-cities (Bole, Akaki Kaliit, Nifas Silek, and Gulele Yeka) where there are many illegally built houses. The measures from the city administration will also target government officials who allowed for the construction of illicitly built homes.
