Lemi Kura Sub City Data Center Up in Flames Ahead of Inauguration

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – A data center in Lemi Kura Sub City, Addis Ababa, was completely destroyed by fire on Monday night, January 23. The data center was set to be inaugurated this coming Saturday.

According to the city administration, no data was compromised despite the extensive damage caused by the fire. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of foul play.

Lemi Kura Sub City has been the focus of ongoing controversies related to corruption and land grabbing in recent years. Some residents have expressed concerns that the fire may be connected to these issues and have called for a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
